Loughborough University National Tennis Academy (LUNTA) has appointed Morgan Phillips as the new Academy Coach.
Phillips has a long coaching career, working alongside junior and senior players internationally.
Previously, he coached overseas and served as head coach for established players Daniel Gimeno Traver (ATP World Singles Rank No. 48) and Evgeny Donskoy (ATP World Singles Rank No. 65).
He has also worked with British tennis players James Ward, Heather Watson and Lloyd Glasspool and is the lead development coach for Anton Matusevich, Jack Pinninington Jones and Felix Gill.
Speaking on his arrival at Loughborough, Philips said: “Everyone’s journey is different, but I firmly believe that with teamwork and dedication we will create clear pathways for players and guide them step by step.
“British tennis has always been a passion of mine and I’m looking forward to playing my part in making a bigger impact on the sport.
“Alongside the extended squad, we have big ambitions to increase the number of quality junior players whilst preparing them for professional tennis. It is undoubtedly an exciting time to be involved in tennis at Loughborough and I can’t wait to help our players take it to the next level.
