MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Clement Chidekh, Jr., WASHINGTON (Lyon, France)
- Playing in first place in singles, sixth-placed Chidekh defeated three Pac-12 ranked opponents, all in straight sets, and added a pair of wins in doubles.
- Partnering with Nedim Suko, the duo clinched the doubles point in Washington’s 4-0 sweep of Oregon with a 6-2 victory on Court No. 2.
- Defeated 90th-ranked Joshua Charlton (6-2, 6-0) in Huskies sweep against Ducks.
- Provided UW’s point in a 4-1 loss at nationally ranked Stanford, beating Axel Geller (6-3, 7-5) for 110th in a game between first-team All-Pac selections- 12 2021.
- Helped UW take a 3-1 lead in an eventual 4-3 loss to nationally ranked California, earning the doubles point with a 6-2 win on court two and sweeping 105th-ranked Yuta Kikuchi ( 6-2, 6-3) .

FEMALE TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Michaela Bayerlova, 5th, WASHINGTON STATE (Krumbach, Germany)
- Recorded 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles, all against nationally ranked players/teams.
- Defeated No. 92 Haley Giavara in straight sets to give WSU one of two singles wins over No. 9 California.
- Teamed with Maxine Murphy for a decisive 6-4 first-over doubles win over the No. 33-ranked Golden Bears duo of Jessica Alsola and Katja Wiersholm.
- Against Stanford, Bayerlova earned the WSU’s only point by beating the country’s No. 14 player, Connie Ma, in straight sets (6-2, 6-4).
- Her win over Ma completed a Bay Area sweep for Bayerlova as they improved to 16-2 this season, 6-1 in Pac-12 play and 5-1 against nationally ranked players. She has won eight of her last nine games, five against nationally ranked players.
