With no tennis action taking place until June due to coronavirus, world No.1 Novak Djokovic is currently spending time at home while awaiting the resumption of the season. The Serbian was in great shape before that, winning the Australian Open and Dubai Open tennis championships before the coronavirus outbreak interrupted his winning streak. Despite no tennis action on the court, the Serbian has somewhat found a place to continue his tennis session.

Novak Djokovic makes home tennis court amid coronavirus

In the latest video, Novak Djokovic can be seen playing tennis with his brother Marko using a pot and ball inside the house during the coronavirus. In this video, the world No. 1 serves underarms and then plays his usual volleys. Novak’s brother Djokovic also played tween shots. Djokovic also produced behind the backstroke that Marko eventually hit on the net created with chairs.

Marko is also a tennis player, who played alongside Novak. Last year, Marko and Novak played in doubles and reached the semi-finals of the Qatar Open. They also teamed up with the Monte Carlo Masters on clay, but were knocked out in the first round itself.

The Serbian star has said he enjoys spending time with his family due to the coronavirus outbreak. He added that he doesn’t recall spending so much time with his family since becoming a father.

Novak Djokovic supports the postponement of the Olympics

Recently, Novak Djokovic grabbed the headlines after saying that postponing the Tokyo Olympics due to the coronavirus pandemic was the right move. The Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which were scheduled to take place in Japan from July 24, 2020, were then rescheduled for the summer of 2021 due to growing concerns over the coronavirus. It is reported that the tournament will now take place from the third week of July 2021.
