ATP reaches new heights in player performance and recovery in Therabody partnership


The ATP announced a partnership that sees Therabody become the official recovery partner of the ATP circuit.

The muscle massage company will look to support the health and well-being of players throughout the season, as the collaboration takes Therabody through the 2021 event.

Todd ellenbecker, ATP Vice President of Medical Services, said, “Effective recovery and injury prevention are essential to protect the long-term health and well-being of our athletes.

“This is a high priority for us given the intense competition and the many international trips involved in a professional tennis season. We are delighted to integrate Therabody and leverage its expertise and product line as part of the process. of our daily care for the players.

“We are also excited to help our players continue to learn recovery through Therabody’s expert educational programs. “

The company becomes the latest addition to ATP’s supplier portfolio and will benefit from visibility across ATP’s digital and social channels, including a new series of digital content created in collaboration with ATP.

The series, which shows how full-body wellness can improve the performance of tennis players on and off the court, will be hosted on the ATP Tour’s social and digital channels.

Additionally, ATP physiotherapists will learn practices to “effectively integrate products” into athlete routines by participating in training sessions through Therabody University.

The company’s in-house experts will also develop bespoke protocols and educational materials for the players themselves, to improve their overall performance by optimizing the use of their devices.

Last month, the company also supported athletes in partnership with the NBA The Dallas Mavericks with the aim of improving player performance before, during and after matches.
